Holdfast is run by Chris McLeod, owner and inspector. My background includes mechanical repair, collision and body work, structural and frame repair, fabrication, detailing, modified vehicles, and finding problems a quick test drive can miss.

I look beyond whether a vehicle starts, drives and looks clean. Previous repairs, workmanship, structural concerns, leaks, suspension and brake wear, modifications, and paint inconsistencies can show how it has been treated.

Holdfast does not sell vehicles. Buyers, dealers and commercial clients receive an independent assessment, with no financial interest in the sale.

Your report separates available history, diagnostic data and physical findings. Photos and a plain-language explanation help you understand significant concerns, with access and inspection limits made clear.

The goal is practical: give you clear information to decide what to do next. Standard mobile pre-purchase inspections are $249 in Columbus and Central Ohio. Classic, modified, collector and complex vehicles are scoped and priced by quote.
