INSPECTION FAQ
What does the $249 inspection include?
A comprehensive evaluation of the vehicle’s mechanical condition, body and paint, previous collision repairs, structural concerns, rust, modifications, electrical functions, diagnostic scan, underbody condition, and a road test when safe and permitted.
Do you work for the dealer or seller?
For a buyer booking, we work for you. We also accept dealer and commercial assignments; the report records condition without a financial interest in the sale.
Do you inspect modified vehicles?
Yes. Modifications and workmanship are evaluated as part of the inspection. Heavily modified or specialized vehicles may require a specialty inspection quote.
Can you inspect classic, collector, exotic, or unusual vehicles?
Yes. Use the Specialty page to request a quote. Age, modifications, access and your concerns determine the scope and price, agreed before scheduling.
Will you tell me whether I should buy the vehicle?
We’ll explain what we find, document significant concerns, and give you the information needed to make your own decision.
Does an inspection guarantee the vehicle has no problems?
No. An inspection reflects the vehicle’s accessible and observable condition at the time of inspection. Hidden defects or conditions requiring disassembly may not be detectable.
Do I need to be present?
No. Arrange seller permission and access. We provide a private report with photos, diagnostic findings and an explanation of significant concerns.
Where do you perform inspections?
Holdfast provides mobile vehicle inspections throughout Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas.
